Project Title: People’s Awareness on Prevention of Human Trafficking through Community based Cultural Intervention

Project Locations: Dhaka and district level (Depends of availability of fund), Bangladesh

Timeline: 6 Months (Initial stage)

Target Group: The main target group of the project would be vulnerable women and children those are at risk of trafficking of the targeted areas.

Short Brief:
Community based cultural event on trafficking and other human rights issues are disseminating through this events. CHDM will perform different form of cultural event depends on area base popularity. Gender dimension will be a serious consideration in the project. The project will design in such way where gender issues is include as cross cutting issues within its program approach.

Over 100,000 audiences (Target Groups) that would be benefited directly from this project through information. Alongside, other stakeholders like government officials, local government actors, civil society members, CBOs will also be include in the project so that they can contribute to develop safety net in their locality. The local cultural groups will also be the target audiences in this project.

Objectives:
- To create and raise general awareness on women and children rights, human trafficking, social discrimination, gender issues, poverty elimination etc.

- To inform mass people about the importance of building community based preventive mechanism in reducing human trafficking.

- To capacitate the partner CBOs in using cultural approach as effective means of human communication.

Outputs:
- 100,000 (1000 audience each show) people will have informed about the causes and consequences of human trafficking and their role in developing safety net within the communities.

- A total of 50 artists from of different cultural groups will have capacitated to prepare and perform social issue based campaigning.

- Raise awareness of the general people as well as specific targeted groups.

Activities:
Finalize training module of TOT on Facilitation & Communication
TOT on Facilitation & Communication based on cultural approach
Script development workshop
Selection, finalize and Organizing the CBOs and cultural groups
Finalizing scripts on different modalities
Develop theatre and folk form presentation
Conduct 100 cultural events at different places
Prepare district wise performance report
Monitoring of performance
Final workshop on the findings of cultural intervention

Goal: Over 100,000 people would be beneficiary (Initial Stage).
