Partner call: DE-WASH – Look Beyond the Label

Erasmus+ Youth Exchange | Germany | September 2027

We are looking for one or two additional partner organisations to join DE-WASH, an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange on greenwashing, media literacy and sustainable everyday choices.

The application is already at the final stage. With submission planned for 1 October 2026, we are looking for a responsive partner who can join promptly, provide the necessary partner information and agree on their contribution with us.

About the project

How can young people tell meaningful environmental action from misleading marketing? What makes a sustainability claim credible? And how do income, access and social circumstances shape the choices we can make?

DE-WASH brings young people together to explore these questions through practical, participatory and intercultural learning. Participants will investigate product labels, advertising and social media, compare examples from their countries and explore accessible alternatives such as repairing, reusing and sharing.

Group size and participant age range: 8 including 2 Groupleaders, 18 bis 30 years

What will participants do?

The programme combines non-formal education, peer learning, creative activities and practical experiences:

Greenwashing Detective: Examine environmental claims and discuss what evidence would make them credible.

Communication workshops: Explore how advertising and social media shape our understanding of sustainability.

Simulations and reflection: Investigate barriers to sustainable choices and the influence of economic circumstances.

Forum theatre: Try out ways to respond to misleading claims and take collective action.

Practical sustainability activities: Explore reuse, upcycling and shared resources in a community setting.

Participants will co-create a DE-WASH Consumer Checklist and digital awareness materials. Daily reflection and Youthpass will support recognition of learning. Each national group will organise a small local peer-sharing activity after the exchange.

Who are we looking for?

A youth organisation or informal group of young people from an additional country eligible for this action, with:

Direct access to young people and the capacity to prepare and support a national group.

An interest in sustainability, media literacy, youth participation or inclusive youth work.

A commitment to involving young people with fewer opportunities.

Availability to finalise the partnership promptly and contribute throughout preparation, delivery and follow-up.

Participants do not need prior knowledge of greenwashing. Curiosity, willingness to contribute and openness to intercultural learning matter.

Your role

The incoming partner will recruit and prepare participants, provide a group leader, contribute examples and activities from their local context, and support participant wellbeing, learning and follow-up.

Nature Community will coordinate the application and host the exchange. Partner responsibilities, group composition and financial arrangements will be agreed together. Erasmus+ funding is intended to support accommodation, meals, programme activities and travel within the approved funding conditions.
