“Over a tree embracing the world”

Starting from Astrid Lindgren, we want to talk about children rights, especially by focusing on the female figure as a motor of change.

Starting from a job on children literature and Astrid Lindgren, carried out by Hermete with some libraries in the Province of Verona (Valpolicella), the exchange proposes an opportunity for teenagers 13-17 years old to discuss the children rights, especially by focusing on the female figure as a motor of change. Starting from the author's positive and adventurous characters, the planned path is intended to give some tools to tackle an historic moment in which children are surrounded by bad news and mistrust, to give space to fantasy, adventure, with a shared methodology that starts from literature and leads to action. For example, Pippi Longstocking could become a positive feminine model, as a child who finds in herself the resources to solve problems, who faces life in a positive and adventurous way, who learns in everyday experience and has a direct approach with the nature.
