Open call for ERASMUS+ Social entrepreneurship Strategic Partnerships project partners

Social entrepreneurship represents an important concept that builds entrepreneurial behavior and creates innovative solutions that eliminate regional differences and secures a better life for everyone. However, Croatia still lags behind in supporting the development of social entrepreneurship and awareness of the importance of individual and social responsibility, especially among young people that have the capacity to make positive social changes and the potential to become the pillars of a future development of society.

Individual attempts to develop social entrepreneurship in Croatia exist and are done mostly by non-profit organizations. In order to get better results, there is a need for systematic support and international strategic cooperation. Social entrepreneurship youth organizations in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Consortium (that consists of Delta Association, Ri Rock and Creative cluster Kombinat) focus on the development and support of local community social entrepreneurship initiatives and projects. It is a community of leaders who are committed to building high-performing organizations with an unprecedented social entrepreneurship impact. The members of these youth organizations inspire each other by sharing specific practices and strategies to bring out the best in people.

The goal of the Consortium is to establish sustainable international cooperation that will result in Social Entrepreneurship Strategic Partnership project (within Key Action 2 of Erasmus+) that could be applied to the next deadline of ERASMUS+ tender (the 26th of April, 2016).

Consortium wants to build medium and large-scale Strategic Partnerships whose aim is to bring innovation in the youth field and social entrepreneurship. As a first step, Consortium used the partner-finding tool OTLAS to selected a limited number of organizations which are working in the field of youth unemployment, sustainable development and entrepreneurship.
