ONLINE GAMEBASED AGRICULRURAL EDUCATION

Our solution to unemployment and migrant crisis is a development of a gamified online training, where young adults can learn how to start their own farm.

ONLINE GAME-BASED AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION

The core idea of our project is a possible answer to one of the most urgent challenges Europe is facing right now. Rising unemployment among young people and low skilled adults. That is also the category masses of migrants fall into. Our solution is a development of an accredited, gamified, online agricultural training program, which gives a usable knowledge for trainees.

Graduates passing the exams could work for Farmers or after completion of a following module could establish their own agricultural enterprises and work for themselves.

The training would be available in all major European and Arabic languages, making it accessible for more people.

The Programme being online allows participation also for people with disadvantages and promotes equity as softwares have no pre-conceptions. It will be accessible for people from downtown Paris as well as for those living in the most peripheral regions of our continent. Or even in migrant camps.

The need for such training program is supported by the statistical data provided in the newsletter of the European Committee in 2012, which has pointed out the urgent need of new generation of farmers. According to this study the majority of European farmers are over 55 years old. In the worst case (Portugal) there is 0,03 young farmer for each 55 year old and over. This is a major issue regarding the continuous food supply of European countries.
On the other hand online farming games are in their revival of renaissance with millions of registered users. Which shows us that interest is there.
The third pillar of our idea also comes from a study published by the European Committee that recognizes that right-brain learning is more efficient than the traditional learning methods.

Our most important strategic partner within the consortium would be a European agricultural university with an innovative approach which is interested in establishing international contacts with research and development companies.
Tasks of the University would include working out the curricula and organizing the accreditation process with the authorized bodies.

Greencare-services Nonprofit Ltd from Hungary would complete all IT related tasks. Including programming, design, etc.

„ISTUDYONLINE.HR” from Croatia will be the project manager organization. They will be the applicants, they will keep contact with the national authorities, and organize…...
