Offline

the aim of "Offline" project is that participants realize the excessive use of technology in their lives and teach them to make more efficient use of it.

As organization targeted on children and youth, we are aiming to provide awareness by technology in line with requirements. Nowadays the use of technology is excessive, not for the quantity, but for the bad use that is affecting our social life because of realizing the fact that as result of extreme and unbounded usage of the technology is making people to stay isolated from themselves and society. Our expectations for the "OFFLINE" project are that participants realize that the use of technology in their life can be more efficient, if you learn how to use it. One can be socially more active, even if you are decreasing the amount of hours using technology. The assistants raise awareness by spreading their knowledge acquired in their countries and cities.

During the week of the project, we will attend two different conferences in relation to this topic, to get information and improve our knowledge. We will try to reach people who have been affected negatively by the misuse of technology. We will make a video which will be recorded and edited during the week, and publish it through mass media and social Networks, to inform and raise the desired awareness.

Furthermore, we will implement the activities “Days Without Mobile Phone” to demonstrate how to spend time without Mobile phones; “Ask the people, not the phone” For measuring the ability of finding direction without using any navigation tool; “Freeze” and “cik cik” For warning our friends who are using cell phones wile someone is talking, “Feel your moment” We will separate the group into two groups(one with, and one without cell phones) for a music activity to compare and discuss feelings during and alter the show.

In addition, we will prepare a nomophobia prescription according to the Surrey that we will make with local people. Also we will perform a flashmob with people who are standing or walking while thye are using their cellphone. For the intercultural learning, we will prepare flyers named “How Dad met My Mother” with the group from different countries that incluye how we were living, how we were meeting, how we were spending time befote technology started leading us. We will finalize by publishing a newspaper article about the overuse of social media.
