Obesity is not Destiny

The special aim is to decrease the rate of obesity by increasing capacities in terms of obesity knowledge, nutrition, physical activity and behavior change.

Obesity is among the most important health problems of developed and developing countries today. Obesity develops with the increase in fat mass of the body that the genetic, environmental, biological, sociocultural and behavioral factors come together. The most important risk factors of obesity are; decrease in physical activity, eating habits, age, sex, education level, psychological problems, birth rate and genetics.

The special objective is to decrease the rate of obesity by increasing capacities 38 young people from 6 programme countries in terms of obesity knowledge, healthy nutrition, physical activity and behavior change between 16/06/2019 - 23/06/2019, in Kırklareli/TURKEY.

7 participants 1 group leader from Turkey, while all other countries will take place with 5 participants and 1 group leader. APV of the project will be held in Kırklareli between 19-20/04/2019 with a group leader from every country.

The overall goal of the project is to contribute to the reduction of health and psychological problems related to obesity by young people and to the congregation.
