NGO Fundamentals 2021

We are happy to announce the call for participants for the training course “NGO Fundamentals 2021”, which is to take place in Eskisehir, Turkey. (Although this project got 90 points in the last application period , it could not receive a grant)

This training course is designed to address subjects such as organizational culture, personal awareness, managing your personal resources, teams & leaders, development & assessment, creating competency based project development, organizational structure, organization management & development, logical framework in operations, communication & information, knowledge & learning, strategic planning, financial management, lifelong learning and sustainability in youth NGOs.

Our Aim:
To discuss, strengthen & develop “the model” for a sustainable youth NGO by focusing on topics such as project development, strategic planning, organizational structure, change management, communication & tailored resource management.

Our Training Model:
The training course will have an interactive approach based on non-formal education and experiential learning methodologies. These methodologies will be applied with concept related tools in workshops & self-designed open-space environments with the inclusion of project trainers & participants.

Background:
Organizational management, finding the resources and keeping them at all times has always been a challenge for NGOs including each and every NGO we’ve worked for. That is why we thought that it would be a good idea to create a training course which would be based on covering the main issue of self-sustaining NGOs. Not only socially aware about using the resources in nature but also has an organizational awareness in any way, time or place it operates.
Creating a model NGO which is more ready and stronger for the changes both inside and out and whose members know about the things that are preferred or required to reach to the objectives and support the aim of their organization.

Partner Organization´s responsibilities:
- Select and prepare(!) eligible participants for the TC (preparation is not only to help in the ticket purchase, but also to exhaustively explain to the participants what a TC is and what are their roles in it); This is a TC, all the participants must know from early on that they are not in a holiday trip or observers.
- at least select 1 participant who is currently active in their NGO (member, volunteer, leader, responsible, Board Member, etc.).
- contribute to the visibility and dissemination of the project (dissemination tasks details will be received after the project approval).

Participant Profile:
Age: 19-25 Target Group: mid experienced Youth workers like youth leaders, project responsibles & leaders, ngo members etc.. One year experience in a organization is required for at least one participant per partner organization.

Conditions:
- the travels will be reimbursed up to the limit established by the Erasmus+ Program Guide
- accommodation, food and activities will be covered by the host organization
- there is no participation fee

Further Details & Selection:
The activity of the project will take place in Eskişehir, Turkey (8 day) in in October or November 2021 (depends on the final agreements and sign date) There will be 2-4 participants selected from each country.(10 country)
Gender balance will also be one of the priorities of the selection.
