Description
The aim of this PBA is to empower and connect youth and social actors to write and coordinate international mobility projects for youngsters with fewer opportunities in the framework of the Key Action 1 of the Erasmus+ Youth program.
The particularity of this PBA will be the involvement of two profiles of participants from each organization: one social/youth worker and one youngster. It’s fundamental to strongly involved young people in the process of the project creation in order to be as close as possible from their needs and expectations.
The activities proposed will on the one hand, give the youngsters the opportunity to exchange ideas with other peers, to work on the development of mobility projects that interest them; and on the other hand, social/youth workers will benefit from the youngsters inputs to develop mobility projects suitable for disadvantaged young people.
Objectives
- Build new qualitative partnerships between social and youth organisations
- Bringing together youth workers and youngsters in order to create new quality projects ideas within the new Erasmus+ program in the youth field
- Share and learn about good inclusive practices between youth workers working with disadvantaged young people
- Foster networking among participants and creating space for youth workers to reflect on their own practices
-Encouraging youth/social workers to develop quality projects with and towards disadvantaged young people on the basis of long term strategies
PBA activities
- Overview of the different local realities of disadvantaged young people in the represented countries
- Field visits in social centres and youth organisation in Marseille
- Cooperative group work to develop youth project ideas
- Exchanging resources (tools, methods, approaches, etc.) relevant for increasing inclusion of disadvantaged young people
- Networking workshops for the emergence of new partnerships
Participant’s profile
Professional
- Active youth workers, social workers, street workers, educators, peer educators, etc.
- Interested in exploring and organizing international youth projects for disadvantaged young people under Erasmus+ programme
- Available to actively attend the full duration of the course;
- Confident in and able to communicate in (international) English
- Contribute to a follow-up by filling in a questionnaire 6 months after the training course
Youngster
- Motivated to get involved in the organization of a youth project
- Available to actively attend the full duration of the course;
- Aged between 16 and 25 years old
