The training is focused at involvement of people of different age into a voluntary work. Volunteering is an opportunity for intergenerational learning. Various age group can meet and learn from themselves.
But work with group of volunteers consists of different age could have some specifics and each group can have their special needs or motivations etc. We want to share the knowledge how to work with them in order to highlight the importance of intergenerational learning through volunteering which could connect the generations and develop social intergenerational solidarity and contribute to the ideal of the fulfillment of individual human potential. So that involved generations get new knowledges, skills and values.
The training Never too old to volunteer! is designed for workers of NGO, who comes in their work in touch with groups of both youngsters and elderly people and have a wish and motivation to connect those groups together.
Except of main topic participants also get aquainted with the ‘‘voluntary traditions’’ of the other countries, find out some similarities or helpful differences that can be used in their work. No matter on age partipants of this training course will get familiar with needs of volunteers, way of thinking or motivation which can be helpful for building a future bridge of cooperation between each other.
