Our main aim is to inspire youth workers on the topics of youth and rurality in Terres de l'Ebre.
Obre’t Ebre (www.obretebre.org) as coordinating organization of the Study Visit is running youth projects at international level since 2005. The organization was created in 2005 by a group of young people. Nowadays the organization is managing projects addressed to young people and women (specially the ones who face greater difficulties).
The study visit has the aim of meeting different international people interested in rural world (agriculture, environment, nature) so we can help them to get inspired. The meeting should bring new projects, create network and bring ideas related to rural world and youth in order to empower them. Ecological problems and education are an interesting field to learn in this area.
The program is set also to meet local people and to know how they have empowered themselves into a very small society, also how they have overcome obstacle or how they see themselves into Europe.
One of the services of Obre’t Ebre is also a good example on how to grow in a sustainable way with youth. Torre Sant Antoni it is placed in the country side. Since 2021 international groups, workcamps, volunteers or trainings are being develop in this place. The house is a dynamic place where long term volunteers live but also a place where we develop workcamps, hosting TC or develop activities at local level.
The lodgement will be in a Hostel La Consolació , that belongs to the noons. Food will be provided in the same building. In some cases when we go out from Jesús, food will be served or we will take picnic with us.
