My Icon Your icon

My Icon Your icon Reinterpreting, rewriting the Sacred Icons of our cities in a contemporary key to transmit knowledge, values and history

The COVID-19 crisis has hit the cultural and creative sectors hard.
There are several types of problems:
- Difficulty in moving
- Places of art consequently little frequented
- Closure of schools / universities / academies.
Travel, school and all those activities that before the pandemic ensured our cultural and intellectual growth have now been put to the test. New scenarios are opening up, new horizons, and new cultural choices to be made with a single goal to pursue, to fill what we have lost and to pursue, knowledge, history and culture. Today more than ever, we need to create fertile ground for future generations to create the development of skills and competences that strengthen creativity, innovation, contributing to the recovery of the cultural and creative sectors.

My Icon Your icon
Reinterpreting, rewriting the Sacred Icons of our cities in a contemporary key to transmit knowledge, values and history. The language of art is universal and through its language we can be architects of a cultural and human rebirth. The My Icon Your icon project aims to connect different European realities, but united by their Sacred Icons in a journey of experiences and history. Each city has its own Sacred Icon which takes on different meanings (religious, symbolic…) through the study of icons and their graphic and literary reinterpretation, young artists will connect with the social fabric.
