Music, a bridge between people

This project is focused on the music as a way to bring together people with different cultural backgrounds and create a shared understanding of common values.

“Music, a bridge between people" is a project about the power of music in bringing together people with different cultural backgrounds and create a shared understanding of common values.
The main objects are:
- Give the participants a concrete opportunity to develop and strengthen youth activism, and participation through the experience of coexistence and dialogue in a multicultural contest;
- Promote the acquisition of innovative musical skills, through non formal and peer education techniques, in order to increase their employment within the musical field.
The youth exchange will be held in Italy, in the medieval city of Bertinoro (Region of Emilia Romagna) in which the Ce.U.B (Centre linked to University of Bologna) will host a wide range of activities (outdoor activities, sightseeing, rule games, workshop, ricreative and manual laboratories, musical lessons etc.) all linked to the concept that music is a way to express the culture and the habits of a national community and help their mutual understing. Each national group will be composed of 5 participants (from 13-20 years old)+ 1 group leader (at least 18 years old). The partner network will be formed of both public body (such as High Schools, Conservatories, municipalities etc ) and cultural associations active in the field of musical teaching and education, therefore the experience will be addressed to student and young people provided with a musical background (for e.g. playing an instrument).
