MOOC it forward!

Experience of Cazalla Intercultural in MOOCs:
Cazalla Intercultural has created the platform www.youth-mooc.eu which so far hosted 3 MOOCs, and targeted over 3500 participants. In you are interested in the work done so far, please visit our MOOC platform and sign up for any of our courses. We are currently working in the further development of this platform to enable different institution to easily place their courses. We have experienced very good impact of those learning opportunities, we believe that it is a very good tool to diversify activities within youth projects.

What will you learn in this TC?:
The course will give you opportunity to acquire all the necessary competences to plan, design, create, implement and evaluate the online learning. We aim to provide comprehensive and practical experience, so everyone who would like to enrich their organizations’ offer with MOOCs will be able to do it.

Objectives:
- To improve the understanding on the online learning opportunities in the field of youth;
- To share the digital tools and learn their possible application in the online learning;
- To enable participants to create their own online learning experience;
- To practice the creation of the online learning experience by designing a mini-MOOC during the course;
- To network with other NGOs interested in the online learning and plan the common actions together;

Course content:
- What is MOOC, and what are the other online learning opportunities;
- From where to start – developing the learning objectives and the course structure;
- What are the different learning activities you can do – videos / quizzes / discussions / video tasks / peer review or trainer review assignments and more…;
- How to polish your MOOC – tips and tricks on video development, tools to make the promo video, basics about working with camera, tools for graphic design to make your visuals and more…;
- Using different MOOC platforms to create your MOOC including www.youth-mooc.eu;
- How to run the MOOC – what is the role and responsibilities of the facilitators, how to improve the learning experience;
- How to promote your MOOC – reaching out to potential learners;
- Evaluating your MOOC – with participants and within the team

Where and when:
Training course will take place in Spain, in the city of Lorca (Murcia region). Participants will be hosted in the Youth center and youth hostel M13. The date of the project will be finalized when the global health situation will be clear, but we aim for May/June 2021.

Target group:
We are looking for at least 12 partners to be able to create the group of 24 youth workers, trainers, educators interested in enriching their educational offer by MOOCs.
