MOBILITY OF STAFF IN THE FIELD OF SPORT

We have many trainers from different branches such as football, basketball, volleyball, swimming, kickboxing. We would like to partner with developed and experienced institutions where our coaches can gain experience abroad. Please read the summary of our work in the field of sport below.

Başakşehir Municipality was founded in İstanbul in 2008. According to 2021’s data, nearly 500.243 people reside in Başakşehir. On “Socio-Economic Development Ranking of Districts”, a research that was done in 2022, Başakşehir Municipality is ranked on 10th place.
The municipality takes part in social, cultural, sports etc. activities and projects. With the aim of supporting its citizens to do sports in a healthy and conscious way with the help of professionals, the Municipality established “sports parks”. These 7 sports parks, provide opportunity for both adult and children citizens to participate in sports in 18 different branches free of charge. Başakşehir Municipality also has a registered sports club in its name that operates in different branches.
In 2015, Başakşehir Municipality, started a Project called “Sporun T’si” (T of Sports). This project aims to measure anthropometric measurements and motor fitness of the children who started practicing in its sports parks. It’s regularly and systematically done 2 or 3 times a year. These measurements are used to direct children to sports branches for which they are genetically better suited.
The Municipality also organizes “Gençlik Oyunları” (Youth Games) to make sports more fun and get students interact with each other. For this, young students compete with each other in different branches such as sports, art, culture, technology etc. The games, that was held in Başakşehir for young students that resided in Başakşehir initially, turned into a city wide event upon request and now young students from all over İstanbul can participate too.
In 2016, the Municipality established a Preparation Course for Sports Academy. The aim is to prepare the students who want to continue their academic education in the field of sports for the faculties of physical education and sports sciences. It also gives these students job opportunities if they wish to work for the Municipality.
