MITO - Let's renew youth hostels!

The project named "MITO" (Mobilità individuale tirocinio in ostello / Individual mobility and apprenticeship in a hostel) aims at offering young people the opportunity to explore the working environment of an international youth hostel and complement their "formal" educational path with a hands-on experience.
Participants are coming from an Italian professional high school with a specific curricula in tourism and hosting.

We are looking for partners running a youth hostel who can host a minimum of two participants for a period of two months and who can support their learning process.
For instance, participants may:
- support the welcoming of guests and their placement;
- assist the overall management of the structure;
- assess the adherence to sustainability guidelines of a hosting facility;
- offer help in running recreational and leisure activities.

The participants selected will be around 18-22 years old, able to speak English and willing to learn and explore a new working environment.

Finally, the results of this project will be disseminated in our local community with the support of a local youth hostel in a dedicated event about hosting facilities and youth.
