MISTONA (Mito, Storia, Natura)

The idea of MYSTONA project (Myths, HIstory, Nature) comes from the crisis that has taken root in in recent years and is profoundly changing our society

The idea of MYSTONA project (Myths, HIstory, Nature) comes from the crisis that has taken root in in recent years and is profoundly changing our society: an economic, social and environmental crisis.
To deal with the austerity, rising unemployment and social inequality, environmental degradation and the depletion of natural resources and fossil fuels, many Europeans are tempted to turn to Eurosceptic, nationalist and reactionary movements.
Despite this contraction and this general trend, in all parts of Europe, citizens are committed to projects of collective action and social transformation.
There is a growing awareness of "other ways" of acting and living together: research offers more and more tangible examples that we actually have the necessary resources to ensure sustainable development of our territories and our society. We have to keep focus on the basis of our life, the "scenario" that hosts our life in all its complexity made of history, tradition and environment.
There is a growing need for collective maturity, the need to become aware and act actively and wisely towards our roots and all the historical facts which are common amoung Europe or peculiar for each County. This is the only way to open ourselves to the rest of the Word in sharing our culture with other people. At the same time the proteciom of the environment needs local activity, but only a global action and the sharing of goofd practices will effectively preserve the environment.
