The Youth Hostel hosts nearly 35,000 overnight stays each year.
Groups, individuals, families ... all come to enjoy the seaside setting offered by the city of La Rochelle: the beach, the ice, the sun, the surrounding islands etc.

Climate protection is in the concern of many citizens today (thankfully!). A large majority have already changed their habits of daily life. But, as a tourist structure, we realize that these new habits are disappearing: chemical sunscreens that destroy the oceans, abandoned plastic water bottles near garbage cans, cigarette butts on beaches, ...
What are the actions to take during the holidays?

We would like to organize a meeting between young people for 1 week, in August in La Rochelle. During this week, young people will have the opportunity to meet professionals to help them create a gesture awareness tool during the holidays.
