MindScape

KA220 YOU - Mindful Support, Care, and Positive Environment (MindScape)

Mental health is a crucial aspect of overall well-being, especially for youth. A project focused on mental health for youth can help educate and support young people in navigating and addressing mental health challenges, build resilience, reduce stigma, and promote positive mental health and well-being. It can also help to equip them with the necessary skills to cope with stress and adversity. Investing in mental health projects for youth is an investment in the future of our society.

In Europe, 1 in 5 people suffer from a mental disorder. Depression is the most prevalent mental disorder, affecting around 20% of the population. Suicide is the second leading cause of death among 15-29 year-olds. An estimated 50 million people in the EU suffer from anxiety disorders. Mental health disorders account for 30% of all years lived with disability in the EU. These statistics highlights the importance of addressing mental health in Europe and the need for effective policies and programs to support mental well-being.

MINDSCAPE aims to educate and empower young people to understand, manage and improve their mental health, as well as reducing the stigma surrounding mental health issues and providing support for those who are struggling.
