ABOUT US
Asociatia Vieti Schimbate is a non-governmental, non-profit youth organisation based in Oradea, Bihor County, north-western Romania. We work with and for young people through non-formal education, focusing on wellbeing, the green transition, digital and future skills, and the inclusion of young people from rural areas and small towns.
THE PROJECT
"Mind Matters: Youth Wellbeing, Resilience and Healthy Lifestyles" is a KA152 youth exchange bringing together 35 young people from 5 countries around mental wellbeing, resilience and healthy habits, treated openly and without stigma. In many of our communities these topics are still avoided, and young people learn early not to talk about them. This exchange is built to change that.
WHAT WE WILL WORK ON
- Mental health literacy: naming emotions and understanding how stress really works
- Resilience and coping strategies that fit young people's daily lives
- Healthy lifestyles through activity rather than theory: movement, sleep, nutrition, routines
- Digital balance: social media, comparison, screen time and attention
- Stigma and help-seeking: why young people stay silent, and what changes that
- Peer support done responsibly, and knowing where a professional is needed
- A wellbeing campaign or initiative designed by each national group to run back home
A NOTE ON THE TOPIC
The programme is non-formal education and peer learning: it is not therapy and does not offer clinical support. Sessions run with clear ground rules, an opt-out principle and a confidential support person available throughout, and participants receive information on where to seek professional help. Group leaders are briefed before arrival.

PARTNERSHIP WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for 4 partner organisations from EU Member States or third countries associated to the Erasmus+ Programme, so that the partnership counts 5 organisations in total together with Romania. Each partner sends 7 participants, group leader included: 35 participants in total, Romania included. Newcomer organisations are genuinely welcome: previous Erasmus+ experience is not required.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
- Young people aged 18-30, plus 1 group leader per group (18+, no age limit)
- Interested in wellbeing and mental health topics and ready to take part actively and respectfully
- Able to communicate in basic English: perfect English is not required
- Available for the whole activity, including the online preparation meeting and the preparation tasks
- Ready to contribute to the intercultural evening and to the group's follow-up initiative
- Groups including young people with fewer opportunities are especially welcome
WHAT IS COVERED
Accommodation and all meals from the arrival day to the departure day, the full programme, facilitation, materials, local transport and the cultural programme are covered by the project. Travel costs are reimbursed up to the Erasmus+ ceiling for the distance band between your city and Oradea; the exact amount per country is confirmed in writing before any ticket is booked. Green travel is encouraged and supported, and inclusion support is available for participants with fewer opportunities. All participants receive a Youthpass certificate.
Not covered: travel above the applicable ceiling, insurance, visa fees and personal expenses.
WHAT WE ASK FROM PARTNERS
- A valid Erasmus+ OID with up-to-date documents in the Organisation Registration System
