Migrants and traditional crafts

Addressing the migrant exclusion through recognition of individual and collective responsibility towards cultural heritage.

Europe is receiving extraordinary numbers of refugees and migrants, and there is pressing need to ensure the social, cultural, political and economic integration of the new arrivals.
Young migrants born outside the EU had the highest at-risk-of-poverty or social exclusion rates in 2017.
Bearing this in mind, the migration issue will be addressed through recognition of individual and collective responsibility towards cultural heritage, in specifics, through the traditional crafts, that will become an element of integration that can contribute to the construction of an inclusive society, and in the processes of sustainable development and the promotion of cultural diversity.

General objective of the project:
- To encourage effective integration practices for migrant youth by stimulating creativity and innovation, with the goal of using the traditional crafts as a source of economic prosperity, social cohesion, and improved life quality.

We are especially interested for partners that can offer MUTUAL PARTNERSHIP.
All interested organizations are kindly asked to send their PIF on: mobility@csfpalermo.org with the subject: KA2 Partnership.
