Mental Health Guide for Youth

Specifically for youth-oriented organizations working in the field of youth mental health.

Each one of the project partners has contributed to developing the project application ensuring the project aims and objectives meet the needs of the participating organizations, youth workers of the organizations, the target group - local youth aged 13 to 18 and has a direct social impact within the represented communities. The project has been planned in 6 major “Work Programmes” each with a different set of activities ensuring the project meets its aim - to develop a high-quality outcome - Mental Health Guide for Youth and an artificial intelligence-based mobile app.

WP1 - Identification of Youth-Oriented Mental Health Teaching Material (Local Level).
The project has set out to develop a Guide on Mental Health tailored to youth, specifically to introduce Mental Health as one of the major subjects of discussion among youth aged 13 to 18.

WP2 - Creating a Structure of an innovative Mental Health Guide to youth (Local Level) - 20/09/2018 - 20/10/2018 - 1 month.
Based on local study analysis the participating organizations develop a youth-oriented structure of the innovative Mental Health Guide to youth. The participating organizations in collaboration with local youth, youth workers and educational institutions develop a structure of the Guide that would be effective at a local level.

WP3 - Creating the “Mental Health Guide to Youth” (International Mobility of Youth workers) - 19/11/2018 - 02/12/2018 - 14 working days + 2 travel days - in Bengaluru, India.
To introduce all project partners with locally proposed structure of the Guide, the content of the Guide, the specific non-formal learning based activities and methodologies to introduce Mental Health to youth. To negotiate and create a well-defined, specific structure of the Guide and the ICT tool (mobile app).

WP4 - Testing of the Mental Health Guide to Youth (Local Level) - 03/12/2018 - 10/03/2019 - 3 months.
The newly created Mental Health Guide is piloted at a local level, delivered by the youth workers and educators to at least 10 local educational institutions/youth centers to youth aged 13 - 18. The WP4 focuses on testing the Guide and receiving feedback from the youth, the local educational institutions and educators. The WP4 focuses on ensuring the local context is well-defined in the Guide and does drive positive social impact.

WP5 - “Building Capacity of Youth Workers to deliver the Mental Health Guide to Youth” Capacity Building of Youth Workers (International Mobility of Youth Workers) - 11/03/2019 - 17/03/2018 - 5 working days + 2 travel days - in Tarrega, Spain.
The WP5 focuses on building the competencies of the participating youth workers to be able to deliver the newly developed Guide on Mental Health in the most effective, impact-oriented manner and foster youth workers' understanding of the mobile app.

WP6 - Large Scale Youth Event - Dissemination of Project Results (Local Level) - 18/03/2019 - 19/04/2019 - 1 month.
To successfully disseminate the project results and ensure access of the outcome (high quality outcome - Guide and the App) among the local youth aged 13 - 18 and the local educational institutions/youth centers.
