MEN IN PROGRESS: Educating, engaging and empowering for change

The project intends to reduce recidivism among perpetrators of gender-based violence through prevention, awareness, and rehabilitation interventions, promoting a cultural change based on the deconstruction of gender stereotypes, the dissemination of a culture of consent, and the support of responsible fatherhood, while ensuring a victim-centred approach that prioritizes the safety, dignity, and long-term wellbeing of survivors and prevents further harm.
Main activities:
> Capacity building for professionals of organizations tackling gender-based violence;
> Psyco-educational and rehabilitation programs for recognized and potential perpetrators;
> Information, sensitization and awareness raising to prevent gender violence and break down prejudices and stereotypes.
DIRECT BENEFICIARIES: Staff working in services for the protection of survivors and their children, as well as services for perpetrators of violence, female beneficiaries residing in shelters, and men who are perpetrators of violence or potential perpetrators.
