Meet the world of NGOs

We are young people aged 18-21 associated with various non-governmental organizations in Lower Silesia, Poland. Our organizations are associated in the Dolnośląska Rada ds. Młodzieży federation.

We are looking for a group of young people of the same age who also work in organizations as beneficiaries, volunteers, members, and who would like to learn more about the world of youth organizations, its diversity, wealth of methods, forms and solutions. We invite you to participate in the youth exchange planned for July 1-15, 2024 in Wrocław (Poland).

During the exchange, we will visit organizations operating in various social areas: disabled people, volunteering, children and youth, education, etc. We will learn about their activities and share our knowledge and experiences. We will expand our competences useful for undertaken activities in the non-governmental sector, learn its principles of operation and try to develop social initiatives. We will look at non-governmental organizations as our potential future place of employment.

We prefer young people associated with various NGOs cooperating in a federation or within different local government or non-governmental structures. We want to also include people from rural areas and small towns.

Before the exchange, the group will be asked to prepare the following tasks to be performed during the project:
- presentation of a group, organization, town, region, country
- conducting team-building games and activities (rotating with others)
- presentation min. 5 local non-governmental organizations operating in various fields, using innovative methods, forms and interesting solutions
- conducting social competence workshops or video presentations - together with another national group
- leading a cultural evening

Before the exchange, we plan to hold joint video conferences to get to know each other and present reports on the preparations. After returning, the groups will disseminate the project results by presenting them during meetings for local non-governmental organizations.
