New vacancy for long term EVS volunteers

CALL FOR PARTNERS!!

"Volunteering as an expression of solidarity that has to be promoted as a central value of the EU”,
(The Observatory of Socio-political Developments in Europe 2014).

Proposed activities in the following areas:

Profile 1: Store Merchandiser volunteers (Charity Stock)
Profile 2: Coordinator volunteers (Support workshops)
Profile 3: Marketing Coordinator volunteers (KAS Promotion)

Profile 1: Store Merchandiser volunteers (Charity Stock)

To ensure that products appear in top condition and in the correct quantities. This involves working closely with the store teams to accurately forecast trends, plan stock levels and monitor performance. To gather customers feedback to products purchased. To edit and update description of products on the website.

Profile 2: Coordinator volunteers (Support workshops)

To promote volunteering (internally and externally) through recruitment and publicity strategies and campaigns. Offer advice and information to volunteers and external organisations through face-to-face, telephone and email contact. To organise profile-raising events to attract new volunteers. To network with multiple agencies across different sectors in order to establish good working relationships to influence decisions about volunteering. To maintain databases and undertake any other administrative duties as required.

Profile 3: Marketing Coordinator volunteers (KAS Promotion)

To assist the Managing Director with the production of marketing materials and literature. Providing support for marketing events. To write articles and promotional material for the company. To upload marketing material to online libraries, internet groups and social media sites. To manage events, booking venues and ordering marketing materials. To prepare, plan and project manage the publication of all publicity material to maximise brand promotion. Evaluate the effectiveness of all marketing activity. Support the marketing manager in day to day marketing activities.

Volunteers requirements:

 Applicants should be between the age of 18 and 30
 English knowledge (B2 level)
 Social sensitivity and team player
 Good communication skills

Application process for volunteer:
The recruitment is based on CV, motivation letter+ picture, activity plan (Skype interview maybe required of the individual volunteer).

Problems to address:

 No working experience
 Low employability perspectives
 Low self-awareness and self-knowledge
 Loss of identity and self-esteem
 Low confidence in potential and social abilities
 Low aspirations and personal autonomy
 Poor sense of moral obligation
 No practical skills and knowledge in the workplace

Aim

To offer opportunity and support to develop transversal skills with a view to improving personal development and employability
To build networks of international contacts and to develop a sense of European citizenship and identity;
To support the professional development of youth with a view to innovating and improving the quality of youth work across Europe;

Learning objectives

 Improved competences linked to professional profiles
 Greater understanding of interconnections between non-formal education and the labour market;
 Greater understanding and responsiveness to social diversity
 Increased support for mobility activities for learners;
 Increased opportunities for professional and career development;
 Increased competence in foreign languages, motivation and satisfaction in their daily work.

Expected results/ Outcomes/ impact:

 Enhanced Social development and inter-cultural awareness
 Increased motivation for taking part in future mobility abroad
 Improved career prospects and enhanced employability and
 Increased sense of initiative and entrepreneurship
 Increased self-empowerment and self-esteem
 Improved foreign language competences
 More active participation in society
 Increase more positive attitude towards the European project and the EU values

We will apply for 2 February 2016 deadline. Will submit on 26th January 2016

Periods:
1 August 2016 – 31 July 2017

2. Fill in Partner Identification Form.
3. Fill, sign and stamp (as it is required by the British Council) Mandate.
4. Send both documents by mail to iht.brown@gmail.com ASAP no later than 18th of January 2016.

Role of the Partners organizations: Finding Volunteers Promotion of the Volunteers Disseminating the final results and output of the Project. Actively participating in the final evaluation and follow-up This project can include young people with fewer opportunities like Marginalised young people those that are NEET (young people being unemployed or not in any educational or training path) will have a priority Social obstacles Economic obstacles Cultural differences Geographical obstacles
