Make your City Cultural Areas accessible for Disabled People!!

Youth people conduct a study about how accessible for mobility reduced perons is their City Cultural Heritage and develop a Mobile App to show accessible routes

Would you like to know how accessible your City Cultural Heritage is and ease mobility through it for reduced mobility persons by using New Technologies?

Then you can be our partner.

Project:

Young disabled people shall carry out a study and monitoring work about their own city Cultural Heritage in order to concretize how accessible their main Monuments and streets around Cultural sites are for reduced mobility persons.

We shall create useful accessible routes through cities for reduced mobility people, as well as value how accessible to move inside is a monument for this disadvantaged group by creating “Accessibility Monument” Reports.

We have to work with all this information, schematize it and give it to software programmers in order to develop a Free Mobile Application to show this useful updated accessible routes and accessible monuments to users by using a GPS location system and a easy to use Mobile Application.

A monitoring work on this application must be done as well as this software will be developed in several languages in order to be useful for other countries disabled people.

Our umbrella organization as Applicant shall play a leading role in developing the need Mobile software as we have already experience by developing adapted applications for disabled people.

We have also experience by removing structural/architectonic barriers as we have a disabled people staff working on this right now in our city. So we will share our know-how with our partners as well.

FEPAMIC and partners will create “accessibility audit forms” need to analyze and audit how accessible a monument, street and site is by identifying any architectonic/structural barrier. We, obviously, must move to those locations to audit them and we need reduced mobility persons to value it and prepare a better analysis.

All the gathered information will be need to set accessible routes through cities as well as to come and move inside the main cultural buildings.

We consider analyzing just main Cultural Interest locations as:

- historic center of the cities,
- monumental buildings,
- UNESCO Heritage sites
- and similar.

A very responsible and professional Partner Profile is required. You must be concerned with disabled and young people. Your city must have a Cultural Heritage big enough to consider this work as necessary.

Our target is to bring our Cultural Heritage to people who have mobility problems and inform them about how accessible this is in order to avoid architectonical/structural barries for them and ease their mobility through their own city.
We want to foster cultural visits for disabled persons by giving an easy to use mobile application which will be very useful for them and their own families
