Make ART, be pART !

The project will be organized in Bologna. It will be training activity in youth exchange under Key action 1.

Art is a powerful means of communication, it is a form of expression for people and for society.
In some disadvantaged areas of European Union expressing art, cultural heritage and cultural identity could be very hard. This project is focused on minors, teenagers from 11 to 19 years old who do not have the chance to practice art and to express their own identity. According to researchers done, for minors who live in situations economically and socially below the standard being involved in artistic activities is a way to cooperate with them. Critical backgrounds prevent young people from being creative in their lives and from expressing their sensitiveness.

The main objective of the project is to make young people aware of creativity and the importance of art in human life. Thanks to the experimental activities in music, theatre and digitography, the project aims to enable minors to express their private world, their cultural identity and to release their feelings.

The concrete objectives of the project are the following:

-To promote artistic expressions for social integration.

-To widespread the three best practices in music, theatre and digitography.

-To increase the cooperation and the communication between institutions and associations involved in social inclusion.

-To show practical techniques in specific artistic fields.

-To exchange different points of view regarding art and creativity.

-To create awareness of social desease and how to combat it.

-To develop teamwork ability in youngsters by employing them in different artistic tasks.

- To exchange cultural, linguistic and artistic backgrounds

PARTECIPANTS:

In order to better develop the project, the ideal requested number of partners is five.

According with the above-cited objectives, our research of partner is focused on

associations, NGOs and no profit organizations that:

- promote cultural exchange with a non-formal languages of knowledge.

- promote an exchange of ideas in the artistic field ( musical, theatrical and

photographic/ digitographic fields).

- deal with immigrants, subjects with disabilities and groups at risk of social

exclusion and poverty.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

- Organization of seminars, illustrating and showing the best european practices.

- Development of role playing games, that are finalized to highlight the main problems that the disadvantages categories facing in the daily life (trust games, blind-dinner, use of the photography and more).

- Excursions in places that are already locations of activities addressed to disadvantages categories.

- Promote an intercultural dialogue about the themes and the aims of the exchange.

IMPACT AND RESULTS:

The exchange of techniques and experiences on the non-formal acknowledgment, ideas and artistic capacities, will contribute to improve the cultural and artistic baggage of the beneficiaries of the project (the term “beneficiary” includes both the operators and the disadvantages groups, the last beneficiary).
