DIHEMA PROJECT CONCEPT AND IMPACT
The ultimate goal of the project DIHEMA is to foster medical innovations in 5 partner countries (Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Netherlands and Poland) by providing international interdisciplinary curricula and trainings on digital health and precision medicine management.
The Alliance DIHEMA is formed by participants and number of associated partners from the Eastern, Western and Nordic European countries LT, EE, FI, NL and PL. Alliance partnership consists of healthcare providers, HEI, VET and enterprise representatives. The project DIHEMA focuses to respond to the sore healthcare sector needs. The main target group – medical students and professionals who are already in practice and would like to expand their knowledge and practical skills.

The main outputs and results of the project DIHEMA will be:
1. International blended learning training course about digital health management and precision medicine innovations;
2. Digital trainings and live workshops piloting in LT, EE, PL, FI and NL universities and FI vocational training school;
3. Set new baseline for future skills in healthcare education, drafted 5 national state-of-art reports about digital healthcare management and precision medicine innovations, merged in 1 joint report on an assessment of current situation, identifying synergies and gaps, sharing good practices;
4. Organized 5 roundtables discussions in every country with policy and decision makers presenting state-of-art report and finding new pathways to implement innovations:
1) Discussion with academic community: How to implement healthcare innovations in HEI?
2) Discussion with medical community: How to foster healthcare innovations in hospitals?
3) Discussion with hospital managers community (municipalities, government): How to foster HealthCare innovations with legit support?
4) Discussion with government: How other public bodies should support healthcare innovations?
5) Discussion with local communities: What community should know about personal healthcare innovations?
5. Project Dissemination, Exploitation, sustainability, and transferability.

DIHEMA aims to provide real-life solutions to everyday situations, thus the trainings will be presented as a “on the job training concept”, where professionals are solving situations from their daily work. At first – theorical block, which will be provided as a remote lecture from the well-known European specialists. Later on – case studies, where medical professionals are discussing and conceptualizing adoptable health innovations. Final – blended workshops, where students are developing plans and strategies for innovations in their workplace.
During the project DIHEMA group of scientists, experts and professionals will prepare a full package off educational materials for medical professionals, HEI and VET. The concrete objectives of the project are connected with the Work Packages (WP) of the project DIHEMA:
• To increase quality of EU healthcare education and provide interdisciplinary blended training program (WP1-WP2);
• To supply the existing healthcare ecosystem with a training program;
• To empower doctors to cover health governance gaps);
• To create an international network of trained medics;
• To raise awareness about digital health and precision medicine innovations.
