Looking for a coordinator for a KA210 project, preferably from Northern countries.
This KA210 project aims to develop, test, and disseminate a European Forest Bathing model adapted to youth work and grounded in scientific evidence. Building on the experience of EcoAtivo’s KA1 “Back2Nature / Forest Bathing”, it brings together three complementary areas of expertise: wellbeing education (Sweden), ecological practices and non-formal education (Portugal), and applied scientific research in wellbeing and ecopsychology (Azores).
The project will create a structured methodology, test it in three distinct ecosystems — Sweden’s boreal forests, the Azores’ Atlantic rainforest, and the Mediterranean mountain ecosystem of Serra da Estrela — and transform it into practical tools for youth workers across Europe.
1. Co-create a structured methodology combining ecopsychology, attention restoration theory, and youth wellbeing competences.
2. Promote emotional wellbeing, focus, and stress reduction through nature-based practices.
3. Equip youth workers with simple, low-cost tools that are easy to integrate into their organisations.
4. Validate the methodology through comparative pilot activities in three ecosystems.
5. Produce accessible final materials (toolkit, videos, practical guide, policy brief).
6. Raise awareness among local policymakers, schools, and associations about the value of nature as a promoter of youth mental health.
