Turkish youth NGO seeking long-term European partners for Erasmus+, ESC and strategic projects on inclusion, rights, youth participation and capacity building.
We are Genç Gönüllüler Derneği – Young Volunteers Association, a non-profit civil society organisation established in Türkiye in 2004.
For more than 20 years, we have been working to improve equal opportunities for children, young people, women, young people with disabilities, NEET youth and other disadvantaged groups. Our organisation does not discriminate on the basis of religion, language, ethnicity, race, colour, gender or background. Volunteering, equal opportunities, human rights and social participation are at the heart of our work.
Over the years, we have implemented social, cultural and economic development projects with the support of Turkish public institutions, European Union programmes, international institutions, embassies and different international funding mechanisms.
Today, we would like to expand our European partnership network.
We are looking for organisations from European countries that are interested in developing real and long-term cooperation, particularly through:
Erasmus+ KA1 youth mobility projects
KA152 Youth Exchanges
KA153 Mobility of Youth Workers / Training Courses
KA154 Youth Participation projects
KA2 Cooperation Partnerships
ESC opportunities
capacity-building projects
and, where our expertise and consortium structure are suitable, larger European programmes such as Horizon Europe.
We do not only prepare projects for our own association. We also cooperate with universities, municipalities, public institutions, civil society organisations and private-sector actors in Türkiye. Many of these organisations have strong expertise in their own fields but need reliable European partners and international project cooperation.
For this reason, working with us can also open the door to different institutions and new project opportunities in Türkiye.
Our approach is not simply to add organisations to project applications. We would like to bring young people, youth workers and institutions together, gain experience through joint activities, and gradually develop stronger strategic partnerships.
We also support the capacity development of partner organisations. Where possible, we help our partners strengthen their project pipelines, identify suitable funding programmes, develop new international contacts and improve their institutional and financial sustainability through well-designed cooperation.
Our main areas of work include:
children and youth, volunteering, human rights, child protection, inclusion, disability, gender equality, health, education, culture, rural development, environment, digitalisation, youth participation, policy development and capacity building.
We have experience in designing and implementing projects for children, young people, women and people with disabilities, as well as working with young people facing fewer opportunities.
Our headquarters are in Istanbul, one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world. We also organise part of our international youth activities in Antalya, on Türkiye’s Mediterranean coast, where the natural environment and internationally known beaches provide an excellent setting for youth exchanges, training courses and outdoor learning activities.
If your organisation can reach motivated young people, youth workers or relevant target groups and you are interested in building a genuine partnership with Türkiye, we would be very happy to hear from you and hopefully welcome you to our country in future projects.
Please send us your PIF (Partner Identification Form).
If you do not have a PIF yet, that is not a problem. Simply send us an email introducing your organisation, your main target groups, your experience and why you would like to cooperate with us.
