CYBEX enhances MSME cybersecurity via VET training, addressing gaps in skills and NIS2 compliance for safer digital operations.
The CYBEX project focuses on improving cybersecurity capabilities within micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) by equipping vocational education and training (VET) educators with specialized resources. It addresses the growing challenges posed by cyber threats and the skills gap highlighted in EU reports, particularly for businesses handling large volumes of personal data. Through a state-of-the-art training curriculum, CYBEX provides MSMEs and VET trainers with knowledge on protective measures, regulatory compliance, and best practices in cybersecurity.
A key feature of CYBEX is its e-learning platform, which includes interactive tools like a gamified learning environment where participants act as cybersecurity experts solving real-world challenges. This platform fosters collaboration through forums for educators and stakeholders. Additionally, the project delivers a toolkit and policy recommendations to bridge gaps in cybersecurity training, ensuring smaller enterprises can better protect themselves while aligning with broader regulatory frameworks like NIS2.
