KA210-YOU small-scale cooperation project on digital journalism, media literacy, public communication, strengthening youth workers’ skills through EU cooperation
It is a KA210-YOU Small-Scale Cooperation Partnership designed to bring together public institutions, youth organisations, cultural actors and media-related organisations that are interested in strengthening digital youth work, media literacy and ethical communication in Europe.
Local written media, press offices and public communication units across Europe are facing common challenges: rapid digitalisation, lack of young professionals with relevant digital skills, increasing misinformation, and limited capacity to engage young people through innovative and ethical media practices. Youth workers and communication staff often work in isolation, with limited access to European cooperation, peer learning and good practices developed in other countries.
It offers an accessible cooperation framework for organisations that wish to exchange experience, learn from each other and jointly develop innovative approaches without the complexity of large-scale projects. The project targets youth workers, journalists, press and public relations staff, institutional communication officers, and young people aged 18–30 studying or working in media and communication fields.
Partner organisations will actively contribute to and benefit from:
– Transnational training activities focusing on digital journalism, media literacy, ethical communication and employability skills
– Job-shadowing and peer-learning opportunities between partner institutions
– Exchange of European good practices in digital youth work and public communication
– Strengthening institutional capacities and international visibility
– Building long-term cooperation and professional networks in the fields of youth, media and communication
The project encourages participation of organisations with different profiles and levels of Erasmus+ experience, including public authorities, cultural institutions, NGOs and media-related organisations. Each partner will have a clear and meaningful role, ensuring balanced contribution and mutual benefit.
The project aligns with the EU Youth Strategy 2019–2027 by promoting quality and innovation in youth work, digital youth work, media literacy and youth employability. Partners joining the project will be part of a motivated European cooperation that aims to create sustainable impact at local, regional and European level.
We are open to cooperation with organisations willing to contribute their expertise, host activities, or take an active role in shaping the project together.
