Looking for a hosting organisation in Spain

This project aims to send few of our gypsy teenagers in Spain (max 100 teens) in order to empower them through travel and discovery.

Lupovino aims to send around 10 teenagers in Spain in 2018. The idea behind this project would be to allow young people with fewer opportunities to have access to an exchange with other spanish teenagers.

The overall project would permit these teens to discover a brand new reality, would permit them to see something different from their daily difficulties/ struggles.

Also, we would like our teenagers being able to learn and to be empowered by activities revolving around education/ citizenship.

We will tell more here once we will have a better idea of the activities we would like to set up.

Project overview

Looking for a hosting organisation in Spain is a project by
Lupovino (lutte pour une vie normale)
taking place
from 2018-02-26 till 2018-03-04
This project relates to:
Youth Exchanges, Transnational Youth Initiatives, Capacity Building, Meetings between young people and decision-makers
and is focusing on:
  • Anti-discrimination
  • Democracy/Active citizenship
  • Integration
  • Intercultural dialogue
  • Minorities
  • Roma communities
  • Unemployment/employability
This project can include young people with fewer opportunities like
  • Social obstacles
  • Economic obstacles
  • Educational difficulties
  • Cultural differences
Teenagers of the neighborhood here (polygone) : - have broken families (the majority of fathers are in prison) - are coming from families with a very low income and a total dependance on the social welfare system - have poor school performances and learning difficulties - are coming from an ethnic minority (gypsies) - are living in an urban area with a lot of problems (police often goes down here) Since the overall context is hard for the teens, it is almost needless to say that teenagers are everyday under pressure. It means there are problems of violence in the neighborhood (physical and verbal violence). Hence, the support needed here is strong : Concerning the partner, we would need an association that is used to difficult publics and who would know how to handle difficult teenagers.
