Looking for a coordinator with experience to our project in KA2 about addiction, prevention and use of ICT. It has finished.

We show the addiction that young people have to ICT and the compulsive and pathological use ,it tries to show all the advantages of the good use of ICT too

Throughout the last decades, new information and communication technologies have had a great impact on our society, causing a significant change in the lives of people and in the functioning of society. Thus, the appearance of a wide and varied range of instruments and supports that have revolutionized the way of handling, storing and transmitting information has led to important changes in the way we work, in the way we relate to other people, in everyday life and in leisure activities; but probably the most striking influence of new technologies has occurred among the younger population. More and more time is spent by young people and teenagers connected to the Internet, using their mobile phones or playing with video games, with which other more traditional hobbies and occupations begin to get cornered. This new reality has aroused considerable social concern about the influence that the use of these technologies can have on personal development and adjustment, especially of adolescents and young people.
In the case of adolescents, the addictive behaviors in this area can be revealed when technology goes from being a means to becoming an end in itself; for example, when you feel a sick obsession with always having the latest generation mobile, or when a teenager is trapped in the social networks of the Internet because in the virtual world you can enjoy a false and unreal identity.
Probably, the greatest risk of excessive use of new technologies is the possibility of generating addictive behavior that leads not only to excessive dedication (which can separate the boy or girl from other types of healthier and much-needed activities at certain ages ), but to a real dependence and lack of control over their behavior. This addiction is more likely to be generated in the adolescent than in the adult, because his prefrontal cortex is still immature and his self-control has not yet reached the adult level.
We all agree that the new technologies are excellent because they improve the lives of people. The problem arises from the harmful use that can be made of the internet. The youngest are the most vulnerable since they are in the process of forming adult personality and because, for today's adolescents, the virtual terrain has as much reality as face-to-face relationships.
The World Health Organization (WHO) notes that one in four people suffer from behavioral disorders linked to new technologies.
Part of the problems that arise due to improper use of new technologies would be:
1-Difficulty falling asleep
2-Lack of privacy and improper use of personal data
3-Excess of available information
4-Inappropriate information
5-Social isolation and delay in the development of social skills
6-New ways for harassment
7-Favors sedentary lifestyle and overweight
8-Interference with other activities: study, exercise and sports, leisure, sociability
To respond to this problem, we have set ourselves to raise these objectives:
1-Develop a prevention plan on the abusive use of new technologies, focusing on the use of mobile, tablet or computer, as well as excessive time in social networks and the responsible use of them.

2-Alert and raise awareness of the consequences of the compulsive and uncontrolled use of ICT, exposing a reality of the problem and warning of what the consequences of this problem may be.

3 - Provide young people, educators and family environment, the basic information about the relationship between personal problems and isolation through the virtual world and vice versa as well, such as this isolation, can cause personal problems of different kinds, such as for example academic performance.
Until we come up with fifteen objectives, which will determine our action plan and with which we will join the activities that will help us achieve our objectives, some of these activities will be:
1-Manual of good practices on the responsible use of new technologies, against anomalies of pathological or compulsive use.
We will elaborate a list of recommendable practices in the use of the technologies opposing them to those practices, which can lead to addiction.
2-Establish a platform for the exchange of materials and a website to publish the results of our project.
The platform will be considered fundamental to carry out our internal work, to be able to develop, relate and implement our work, before they can be seen on our website and have the multicast dimension.
3 - Develop a plan to prevent addiction to mobile phones, tablets or computers and in that plan include recommendations on how to use social networks and point out the dangers of the Internet in young people.
We have completed with five activities like these.
