KA153- YOU: Increasing the Psychological Resilience of Young Against Disasters
The subject of our project is to support the strengthening of psychological resilience of young people, especially in disadvantaged groups, in crisis situations after disasters and also before disasters, and to increase the resilience of the most dynamic group of society against disasters that are now more frequent and destructive with climate change.
Main Activity:
Professional Development Activity (PDA) for youth workers. In this training, content will be provided about how to strengthen the youth’s psychological resistance before and after a disaster. The training to be planned will be roughly in thefollowing content:
-A psychoeducation program for raising disaster awareness and successfully solving crisis situations experienced after a disaster
-Various training techniques used to provide participants with mindfulness practices
-Creating case studies in group studies in order to create a logical structure
-Using thegamification based training technique to motivate participants to learn and thus make learning more permanent and fun
-Workshops and question-and-answer sessions
Follow-Up Activities:
-Training on Gaining Psychological Resilience against Disaster for young people at least 30 in disadvantaged groups
- Feedback Meeting: At the end a digital brochure will be created
The Project Results;
-Young people's knowledge about disasters,
-To learn the precautions that can be taken before the disaster,
-Understanding the skills that can be done without trauma,
-To gain competencies in re-adjusting to life after a disaster.
