Genç Engelliler Gençlik ve Spor Kulübü Derneği was established in 2005. Organization’s studies started in 2010 at Güzelyalı Mahallesi, open sport area and service building.
Our organization is in children and youth game park. We have child game area, basketball, volleyball and football area and soon we will build a mini theatre. In these areas, we are doing some activities with disabled and non-disabled children and youngs. Our organization is in good area (economic and socio-cultural welfare) but utilizers of our organization are people who have economic disadvantages. Disabled and non-disabled youngs of our organization are coming from every part of Adana.
We have physically disabled youngs who as athletes for paralympic branches by our organization.
Between 2010-2014 years, our Organization won 39 golden 61 medals in table tennis, athletism and swimming Turkey Championship. These programs scheduled by Türkiye Bedensel Engelliler Federasyonu. Now, our organization has 5 national athlete from 2 branches. At the same time, in our organization we have more than 50 athletes for 4 paralympic branches. These paralympic branches are table tennis, athletism, swimming and sitting volleyball.
We are doing sportive exercises in gymnastic branch with mental disabled people.

Activity 1: ( we need 1 EVS unteeer for this project. Duration is 9 months and It will start at 1st January 2016. )

In our organization, we have regular projects about disabled and non-disabled youngs. One of them is “My School, My Future” Project in this Project our volunteers are going to these people’s houses and they are giving lessons to them.
This activity is doing by volunteers from University. They are teacher and at the same time mentor for these children and young people. Volunteers and Utilizers are going to outside, cinema and theatre twice in a month together.

Activity 1:
We need a volunteer in “My School, My Future” program with our other local volunteers. With this way, disabled people can learn cultural treasures. Foreign volunteer will go to disabled person’s house with local volunteer. While local volunteer will giving lessons to disabled person, foreign volunteer will play games for mental development(intelligence game developer) and he/she will be companion when local volunteer and disabled child in outside(cinema, theatre) They will spend time together. At the same time, disabled friend’s English will be better. Disabled person’s desire of learning English will increase with foreign volunteer.
Foreign volunteer will have a schedule for a week. This program includes Turkish lessons. These activities are doing workday by foreign volunteer only 7 hours for a day. 2 hours Turkish Turkish lesson includes in this 7 hours.
As a sport club, many sportsmen and sportswomen were growth by our club and they won many prize. They are doing personal sports and they need support. These athletes need help and support of a volunteer. These athletes do training three times in a week. Aproximately, these trainings are 2 hours. All prepares of disabled athletes are 4 hours and a volunteer will be perfect.
Volunteer will be companion to disabled athletes transportation and preparing.
We need a volunteer for three disabled athletes. We will make a schedule and volunteers will support to different 3 athletes in a week. On the other hand we will give Turkish lessons to volunteers in our club.
