Lonely Youth

Our project subject is related the loneliness of young people due to digital addiction and the covid-19 outbreak.

Technology has created new risks while making living conditions easier. With the widespread use of social media, it is seen that digital addiction has increased, especially among young people. These addictions negatively affect the cognitive, psychological and social life of the individual. As a result of tending towards online activities, it is observed that especially young people tend to become lonely, and they tend to focus less on face-to-face relations and activities. Loneliness has become a bigger problem with the covid-19 pandemic and the increase in online education activities and social isolation. It is necessary to prevent loneliness of these individuals (especially university students) at the age where sociality should be at the highest level and to support them to become more active and social individuals.
One of the downsides of digital addiction is getting away from writing through paper and pencil. All kinds of activities and communication take place on computers and mobile phones via a keyboard. In this direction, artistic workshops such as calligraphy, pen work and creative drama will be held. The works that are revealed at the end of the workshop will be presented with an exhibition.
The aims of the project are;
 Enabling young people to engage in social activities by coming together with their peers,
 Realizing joint activities with people from different cultures by understanding the importance of face to face communication
 To ensure the reduction of digital addictions and increasing isolation with the effect of the covid-19 process,
 To enable young people to engage in activities that improve their emotional state rather than the digital world that causes them to become lonely,
 Prevention of distancing from social life with the deep loneliness that the problem of loneliness will cause in the future,
 It is aimed to ensure that the age group, which should have the most socialization, be more involved in the society and participate more in social activities.
