LIVE NATURE THROUGH MUSIC

RATIONALE
In 2022 the European Union proposes to sensitise the community about the relationship between environment and people. The choral association ”Pueri Cantores" del Veneto promotes the project « Live Nature Through Music ».
This project is inspired by the idea of creating a behavioral consciousness in young people by let them knowing the elements that are part of the Kingdom of Nature.
The project Live Nature Through Music aims to include other choirs from different Countries in order to get an international view to the pedagogical, artistical and musical project, comparing different approaches to music. Masters of the choir (Pueri Cantores and the european partners selected) will have preliminar meetings for the allignement of the methodology. The staff of the Pueri Cantores will consist of the master of the choir and scholars of scientifical approach to plants and environment. Toghether with the partner will be elaborate a dissemination plan about a cohesive methodology to experiment music and harmony of nature.
is a profound experience of the individual. Placing this experience in the context of an international exchange that allows young people to actively understand the culture and ecological characteristics of the partner's territory, makes it possible to enhance the relationship with the territory and the comparison between different territories. The focus on music, and in particular on choral music, through an experience linked to the environment and its valorisation, also lends itself to an economic valorisation that responds to the essential needs of people and their well-being.
The workshops will focus on the ecology of the local area, starting from experiences and practices relating to daily life, and therefore from local areas and their heritage. It is well known that a critique of growth based on GDP is also provided by the alternative wellbeing indicators proposed by authoritative economists such as Amartya Sen, Joseph Stiglitz and Jean-Paul Fitoussi and adopted by official bodies such as the UN with the Human Development Index, the OECD with the Better Life Index, and ISTAT with the Fair and Sustainable Wellbeing Index (BES).
The proposal strives to turn experiments (for instance, experiences and observations about wood, path and light, collaborations also with local administrations) into bottom-up initiatives driven by youth. At the same time the choirs will prepare laboratories and conference-concert singing lyrics and songs on natural elements such as water, Earth and weather phenomena.
In other words, the proposal believes in the opportunity to combine music with Nature to raise awareness among young participants on the theme of respect and protection of Nature through the creative capacities of young people at European level to act as multipliers of sustainability in their communities.
The project aims to promote the understanding of the harmony present both in music and in Nature.
Nature is a concert of wonderful sounds. We learn to perceive them, to recognize them and to reproduce them through all five senses. Sounds will be the subject of research and study to bring young people to discover the sounds of Nature. From here we will start to bring young people closer to the world of sounds and music immersed into Nature in full harmony between body and spirit.
We are collecting and harmonizing for choir "Le Canzoni Medicina" and "Le Canzoni Shamanic". They are practices that involve the use of evocative voices that imitate the sounds of nature and the elements. Through medicine melodies we become cosmic singers connecting sound with the spirit, eternity and light that will be united to the dimension archetypal of awareness.

MAIN OBJECTIVES
− creating an educational awareness on the climate and environmental problem.
- learning to perceive them, to recognise them and to reproduce them through all five senses to discover the sounds of nature ;
_ Achieving a wide-ranging dissemination of musical culture about the environmental impact "0", higly tenable.
− Offering an opportunity to learn sounds of Nature;
_ helping to develop the appropriate musical and environmental sensitivity and complementary to each other ;
_ Allowing to open the doors of musical culture in an innovative way, without barriers ;
− Fostering intercultural competences, respect for diversity and EU values;
− Triggering active and responsible participation of youngsters with respect to issues of Nature;
ACTIVITIES
Preparation (local level, month 1-4 ; sessions in video-conference and through technological instruments):
Advanced Planning Visit: expert musicians will meet up to define the Live Nature Through Music Agenda and consider where and how the experiences can be held during the exchange.
Exchange (Vicenza-Venezia-Italy and site of the partner, 5 days for each meeting, month 5-7°):
-MASTERCLASS: held by experts and musicians to let participants learn more about plants relating to music. They will reflect on the nexus between armony of Nature e armony of music.
-NATURE EXPERIENCE: collaborate with local administrations ; selection of wild areas ; experiments and activities in wild fields ; observing natural phenomena linked to music and choral experience.
Post-exchange (local level, month 8-9 ; exploitation of tecnhological platform for meetings)

PARTICIPANTS
A group of 20 active youngsters, aged between 18-30, from the side of each project partner, and one expert musician per group.
