TITLE: “Life Away”

Dear friends,

"Apkabink Europa" intends to apply with an exchange project in Eras mus +, Key Action 1, Youth Exchange, with a background theme on migration.

Through this call we invite all association interested in the project proposal to become our partner.


DETAILS OF THE PROJECT:

Venue: Countryside tourism homestead Alytus region, Lithuania

Period: February 2015

Partners: Erasmus+ Programme Countries

Working Language: English

Conditions: each partner must send 7 participants + team leader aged between 18 and 30.
Duration of the activity: 7 days; excluding travelling

All participants will be provided with accommodation and food for the whole duration of the exchange, as well as with covering of visa costs (if visa is required). T ravel costs will be covered using following rules of Erasmus plus program distance calculator:

For travel distances between 10 and 99KM: 20 EUR per participant For travel distances between 100 and 499 KM: 80 EUR per participant
For travel distances between 500 and 1999 KM: 170 EUR per participant For travel distances between 2000 and 2999 KM: 270 EUR per participant

For travel distances between 3000 and 3999 KM: 400 EUR per participant For travel distances between 4000 and 7999 KM: 620 EUR per participant For travel distances of 8000 KM or more: 830 EUR per participant


DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:

The youth exchange “Life away” aims to bring together young people from different countries and give them the opportunity to perform various hands-on group activities related to the theme of migration.


Through different activities (simulations, role play, presentations), participants will exchange good practice and know-how their possible solution, emphasizing on migration. The exchange will follow the following objects:


• To focus on the consequences of migration and reflecting on the practice of migrant integration and inclusion in European countries;

• To share best practice in tackling migration, integration and inclusion in youth work;

• Exchange of experience and good practice in youth work, related to international/local migration and mobility and its influence on young people in Europe;

• Preparing youth workers and youth leaders in addressing the challenges and opportunities resulting from migration for young people /society as a whole;

• Raising the competence of youth workers and youth leaders about the push and pull factors of migration and causes and consequences of migration and how to prevent negative effects of migration (such as discrimination) in society;

• Promoting European cooperation between youth organizations, promoting youth mobility and support engagement youth with immigrant backgrounds in participating
Organizations’ activities;

• Providing informal learning opportunities with a European dimension and creating innovative opportunities in connection with active citizenship, especially for the young people with fewer opportunities through the development of new initiatives in the field of migration and mobility for young people within the framework of the Youth in Action Programme.

Our intention is to apply the project on 1st of October deadline. The Partnership Agreement used for YiA projects are now replaced by Mandates. All partners organizations participating in a project need to sign a mandate to confer to the coordinating organization the responsibility of acting as main beneficiary. In the meantime, please send us your PIC number (Personal Identification Code). We expect valuable collaboration with our partners.
