Let There Be Dragons

Are you ready for a magical journey to the fantastic lands and to meet the dragons?

The Handmaid's Tale, A Song of Ice and Fire, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter series and many more.. They all opened the doors of new, undiscovered worlds for us. Thanks to these stories, a new era for fantasy literature has begun. But this was not the case for a long time. Fantasy literature has been despised for a long time as "a waste of time" and being "unrealistic". However, for thousand years, fantasy literature had been the oldest way for humans to tell their stories to the next generations. Remember myths and fairy tales?

As Enez District Governorship, we will organise a youth exchange to discover these mythological roots, fantasy literature and their connections. In this fantasy literature camp, we will focus on the mythology, fairy tales and modern fantasy literature works by Ursula K. Le Guin, J.K. Rowling, Neil Gaiman, J.R.R Tolkien, George R.R. Martin and many more.

Venue: Enez, Edirne, Turkey

Dates: 10.09 - 14.09 2018

Profile of Participants: Young people aged between 17-30, who are interested in myths, fairy tales, dragons and discovering the undiscovered territories.
