Less 4 More: A Minimalist Approach to Youth Work
1. What
Training course on minimalism and sustainable consumption, using drama, role-play and hands-on exercises.
2. Why
Youth workers learn to guide young people toward deliberate choices (what to buy, eat, own) instead of consumption on autopilot.
3. Who
Youth workers from partner organisations across Europe. Min. age 16, no upper limit.
4. Where
Linz, Austria - hosted by Verein MUSE.
5. When
1-5 March 2027
6. How
a. Drama: adaptation of "Auto da Barca do Inferno" to explore consumer archetypes - the impulsive buyer, the "never enough" hoarder, the wasteful waster.
b. Buy Less, Share More: real shopping exercise with a printed NO-GO list (cultural and dietary needs respected).
c. Waste Audit Walk: practical walk auditing waste in daily choices.
d. Daily reflection circle: "Was today's choice a deliberate act, or consumption on autopilot?"
7. What we're looking for
8 partner organisations to build a strong, credible consortium. We are prioritising organisations with an active website, social media presence and a clear youth work track record.
