Learning Through Dramatic Situations

LTDS is a nine-day training course built around one question: what makes a dramatic situation worth doing? 24 youth workers work with structured drama, where a fictional situation gives young people a safe place to try out dialogue, decisions and other points of view, and where a clear learning aim and a real reflection turn the experience into learning.
The programme is built as a clear arc. Every day has a focus, one method to try, a guided reflection and a step towards transfer into your own work. The first days build trust and a shared language, the middle days take methods apart and practise facilitation, and the last days belong to the participants: international teams design a short session of their own, test it and reflect on it, so everyone experiences the full cycle as both participant and facilitator.
Every participant leaves with a personal toolkit, a Youthpass certificate and a self-assessment, based on the ETS competence model, that shows how their practice has changed. Selected sessions are published in an open collection, LTDS Practice Notes, so the thinking outlives the course.
We are building the group now: partner organisations that send four youth workers each, who work with young people in non-formal settings and already use drama or are curious to start. Newcomers to Erasmus+ are welcome.
