Learn to live together

Our project targets those of different social origins of the population, willing to break sterotypes and build connections among cultures.

Our Youth Exchange project targets young people between 16-30 years old ,of different genders and social origins of the population who are willing to break sterotypes and build connections among different cultures fond of working with their hands and expressing themselves in a context of coexistence in a rural environment.Our aim is to foster intercultural learning to live together in harmonie.

"Being and Doing"
Activities based on non-fomal education and non violence techniques will be held in La Borie Noble a hamlet-like in a secluded valley in the hills of the Languedoc in the South of France.
We propose handcraft ,artistic and social workshops ,coordinated by youth workers and supported by local experts of our community to stimulate the interest of young people towards intercultural relations promoting youth initiative.

Practical tools like bakery,pottery,working in the garden,cooking,dancing,theatre,singing ,music sessions and social debate about actual subjects will reinforce mutual comprehension and will lead to a critical consciousness about conflict resolution.

A party will host as a final output the work of five groups composed of five multicultural youngsters who will have the challenge to design together an artistic or artisanal exhibition(for example ,a theatre play,a song,a dance,a piece of Art,a mandala)to reflect the wealth of this Cultural Integration.
Members of the community,neighbours from the nearest villages, friends and the Municipality Council will be all invited to share our final achievement.
Selection
Four Participants will be selected by a youth leader member of the parnership based on their personal motivation and creative attitude;Not previous experience is required to participate however basic knowledge of English will be useful.

Each partner will have a clearly defined role in order to ensure quality of mobility experience ,aimed at achieving several specific objectives :

#Promote understanding and listening capacity among young people of different backgrounds as an engine of integration & tolerance. (Equality/Inclusion)
#Explore social contexts through groupal activites in order to trigger reciprocal knowing.(Non formal éducation)
#Provide the skills to enable individuals to get to know themselves, grow self confidence to participate actively in society.(Active citizenship)
#Motivate active participation in decision making.
