Learn to Give is a unilateral exchange of young international people (together with Spanish participants) and will take place from summer onwards. The main theme of this exchange is the awareness of poverty and how to combat it.
Its main objectives are:
Acquisition of social skills.
Discovery of new cultures.
Supporting the acceptance of difference.
Raising awareness of the different types of poverty.
Learning to search for information and to be able to contrast it.
Developing participatory and democratic skills.
Strengthening an international partnership and promoting mutual understanding between young people from different countries, to develop solidarity and promote tolerance among young people.
The aim is to strengthen European cooperation in the field of youth through the theme of sustainable development. For eight days, 21 participants will meet and get to know the countries, traditions and cultures through group work, discussions, interactive games and presentations.
Citizen actions will be organised along these lines. The aim of these activities is to encourage individual and collective reflection on our information consumption patterns.
Activities such as Model United Nations (MUN) or Role-Play games will be a fun way for young people to better understand and appreciate the global issue of information reception. This activity will also be a way to strengthen group cohesion in an unusual space.
The young people will organise an international evening together. The event will include traditional food, exchange of photos, videos and traditional music from both countries. It will be an opportunity to have a democratic feedback on the collaboration between the young people in all phases of the project. Back home, the young people will be able to share their experiences with the world through the digital productions made by the group.
They will become spokespersons for an experience, an experience of international mobility with the aim of awakening in other young people the desire for international discovery. In a logic of youth work development, the professionals participating in this project will also develop skills and knowledge on the implementation of a project with an international dimension.
