The project aims to develop and share best practices in NFE in order to improve the quality of youth workers’ teaching and training.
Main Objective
The main objective of the project is to improve the quality of teaching and training young people by using NFE methods. This project aims for an exchange of good practices among youth workers/leaders from different countries, transfer of knowledge in the field of NFE and an opportunity for future projects which promote a prosperous education for young people.
Specific objectives
- To promote the correct application of NFE methods during work with young people with or without disabilities in the community, through exchange of experience and work in a team.
-To successfully involve youth in learning processes that are based on NFE methods.
- Acquaintance with different tools and methods of informal education for work with young people.
- To understand better what NFE entails.
- To involve more young people in the development of their community.
- Increase the participants’ awareness and knowledge of other cultures and countries. This will enable them to create an international network of contacts and to actively participate in society.
- Creation and development of new projects and partnerships.
- Introduce to the participants Erasmus+ and variety of its opportunities, focusing mainly on Key Action 1.
Furthermore, during the project participants will develop knowledge in:
• The different types of education (formal, non-formal, informal) and how to use them
• Different types and ways of self-motivation and motivating others
• SWOT analysis on them personally and their organization
• Youthpass and 8 key competences
• Better understand the young people behavior, especially the needs of the disadvantaged
• Identify the importance of complementarity between existing types of education
During the youth workers participating will develop their skills:
• Improved communication within group
• Team building
• By developing new non-formal methods
• By developing public speaking and interaction skills
• Realize the importance of engaging in volunteering
By the end of the Training Course, the participating youth workers will:
-increase their knowledge about NFE characteristics, formal and informal learning styles and they will understand how non-formal methods make learning easier and enjoyable.
- develop team spirit to hold a debriefing, to use animation as a socio-educational component of non- formal methods and develop and implement a minimum of 15 new methods of NFE, which will actively contribute to youth development.
- develop skills to encourage young people with fewer opportunities in improving their lives.
