Leaders for the future

“Leaders for the future”, is a project organized between 1st of June and 8th of June 2019 in Cetraro, Italy, by the Neverland Europe APS Association with the active involvement of 7 other youth organizations: Ask Yourself Romania, 4YOUth Foundation For Supporting Youth Initiatives Poland, Ticket2Europe Spain, Orenda Foundation Bulgaria, Belen Kaymakamligi Turkey, INSTITUT ZA POTICANJE MLADIH Croatia and Rietavo Atviras Jaunimo Centras Lithuania, that will welcome 27 youth workers from the 8 countries.

The aim of the project is to motivate the youth workers to have a more practical approach, contributing to the change of the educational system in a more opened one, more practical one, more efficient one, by equipping them with leadership competences, utilizing outdoor experiential education in nature, for their own selfdevelopment as well as the development of the youth they work with.

The objectives of the project are: 1. Developing the youth workers knowledge on leadership and linking it to non-formal and outdoor experiential methods, that they can then apply and adapt efficiently in their typical work; 2. Improving and developing the youth workers leadership and training skills using practical tools from the two interconnected types of methods, both to develop themselves and to facilitate the development of leadership of the youth; 3. Developing the awareness of youth workers, that incorporating outdoor education and activities in nature can enhance their leadership, self-development and youth leadership trainings for the benefit of young people.
