A 7-day Youth Exchange; Empowering young people to turn local environmental challenges into innovative, sustainable and European green solutions.
Green Entrepreneurs Lab – From Local Challenges to European Green Solutions is a 7-day Erasmus+ KA152 Youth Exchange designed to empower young people to become active contributors to the green transition by transforming environmental challenges into practical and innovative solutions. This 7-day youth exchange activity will take place in Denizli, Türkiye, home to the "Pamukkale Travertines"—one of the world's natural wonders.
Rather than simply teaching young people about climate change and sustainability, the project will create an international Green Lab where participants will identify real environmental problems, explore their root causes, develop solutions, create prototypes, test their ideas and turn them into realistic green initiatives.
The project will combine environmental sustainability, green entrepreneurship, digital skills, creativity, active youth participation and intercultural learning through non-formal and informal learning methods.
We are planning to involve young people from several European countries. Each partner country is expected to form a national group of approximately 7 people, consisting of 5–6 young participants and 1 group leader. The final number of participating countries will be determined according to the relevance and quality of the partner organisations joining the project.
During the 7-day Youth Exchange, participants will work in intercultural Green Lab Teams and follow a progressive learning journey:
- Day 1 – Discover | Green Challenge Discovery: Getting to know each other, team building, exploring environmental realities in participating countries and identifying common European green challenges.
- Day 2 – Define | Green Problem Hunters: Exploring real environmental problems, identifying their root causes, understanding affected communities and transforming observations into clearly defined challenges.
- Day 3 – Ideate | Green Solutions Hack Lab: Generating creative solutions through brainstorming, peer learning and collaborative decision-making and selecting the most promising green ideas.
- Day 4 – Design | From Idea to Green Venture: Developing selected ideas into sustainable and socially responsible green initiatives by exploring target groups, environmental value, feasibility and European relevance.
- Day 5 – Prototype | Green Prototype Factory: Turning ideas into tangible or digital prototypes through learning-by-doing, experimentation, digital tools and peer feedback.
- Day 6 – Test & Improve | Green Solutions in Real Life: Testing prototypes, collecting feedback from potential users and stakeholders, improving solutions and preparing practical follow-up actions.
- Day 7 – Pitch & Act | European Green Solutions Day: Presenting the final solutions, sharing learning outcomes, reflecting on Youthpass competences and developing follow-up actions that participants can implement after returning home.
Throughout the exchange, participants will use interactive non-formal learning methods such as workshops, simulations, problem-solving activities, field observation, brainstorming, design thinking, peer learning, learning by doing, reflection activities and intercultural teamwork.
Digital tools will support collaborative learning, research, prototyping, documentation and dissemination. Environmental responsibility will also be integrated into the implementation of the project itself. Participants will reflect on their daily environmental behaviour and explore ways of reducing the environmental footprint of international mobility.
Young people will not be passive recipients of activities. They will contribute to the development and implementation of the programme, take rotating responsibilities within international teams, make decisions about the solutions they develop and actively contribute to the evaluation and follow-up of the project. This reflects the KA152 approach, which expects young people to participate actively throughout the different stages of a Youth Exchange. programme-guide-2026_en (2)
By the end of the exchange, the project aims to produce a set of youth-led Green Solutions, prototypes and follow-up action plans that can be further developed or implemented in participating countries.
We are looking for motivated partner organisations experienced in youth work and interested in environmental sustainability, green entrepreneurship, climate action, digital innovation, inclusion and non-formal education. We particularly value partners that are willing to actively involve their young people not only during the mobility but also in the preparation and follow-up phases.
Partner organisations should be ready to support participant preparation, intercultural teamwork, learning reflection, dissemination and local follow-up activities. We are especially interested in building a partnership in which each organisation brings its own experience, local environmental perspective and good practices to the project.
Green Entrepreneurs Lab is not simply a project about learning what sustainability means. It is about giving young people the space, tools and international cooperation needed to turn environmental challenges into action.
