Lake Garda Sustainable Development Festival

The Sustainability Festival on Lake Garda takes place in the interregional territory of Lake
Garda.
It has an own social, economic and environmental function. It is realized by L.A.CU.S.
together with “Sustainable Network for Lake Garda” and additionally private and public
institution, that in the 2 previous edition believed in this ambitious project.
Last year, during whole month of April, have been organized more than 150 events who took

For the following edition, we would reach a double goal:
1) Encourage the sustainable growth and being aware of our human capital, in order to
generate more participation for protecting and managing as best as possible our resources,
especially to young generation and also address our local community to the same objective.
2) Offer an event who involve whole Lake Garda (we identify 4 zone: Verona’s Garda;
Trento’s Garda; Valtenesi and North Garda; Morainic hills and South Garda) with the scope to
facilitate a new way of tourism. We would like to create an alternative touristic offer with
experiences that reflect the meaning of “sustain” instead of “consume”.
After this short preview, we would like to, first of all, find a partner who shares our view and
who wants to collaborate with us.
In order to provide a better organization of the Festival, we would like to host 2 volunteers
who will be fully involved in the project: from logistic support, to promoting the festival in our
territory especially to young people and also take part in some workshop who remark the
importance of intercultural dialogue.
For us this is the first EVS project, therefore our final goal would be to create a future network
with European association who shares our same value, but also give the chance to cooperate
with different culture and places.
