KYC (Kalat Youth Center)

With the KYC project, they want to involve 4 EVS volunteers, management and development of the new Kalat Center, called KISS (Kalat International Summer School) with a guest house, exhibition hall, documentation center, conference room, classrooms, kitchen, to accommodate groups of young people and cultural tourism initiatives, primarily geared to development in Sicily. The project will develop through four specific actions aimed at:
• PROJECT: it has the aim of professional and cultural development of local young people through the dissemination of teaching tools and short courses and useful of the Documentation Center (UseIt) on personal growth, as well as the promotion and management of clustered activities juvenile of ludoteca (Ludo) realized within the Kalat Center.
• IDENTITY: action to strengthen the attractiveness of the local context and identity resources through the optimal management of Archeoclub reception facilities and the promotion of international youth gatherings on local attractions resources (Happening) and international laboratories ( Interns) with international talent;
• CHARM: the action, through the management of the catering facilities, aims to promote talent and local production resources including through the aggregation of events such as tastings, dinners, cooking shows, exhibitions, conferences ...
• NICEFIELD: The action aims to ensure the management of the local archaeological heritage and the increase and qualification of initiatives and data, finds and archaeological sites recovered in the course of research conducted dall'Archeoclub in the past 15 years, in addition to the management cultural initiatives promoted in the exhibition hall and function room of the Kalat Center.
With these actions, through the activities of EVS volunteers, we intend to pursue multiple results:
• Develop an atmosphere International, creative and dynamic in the new Kalat Center created by the association,
• stimulate the contact and the youth gathering between young volunteers and local, in a constructive and intercultural context by giving visibility to the ERASMUS + especially related 'in EVS Sending and Hospitality;
• Promoting the active citizenship of young locals, fostering intercultural dialogue, personal and social growth of the community;
• Improving the skills and human qualities of the local community and volunteers themselves, through the acquisition and transmission of new skills;
• Contribute to the development and dissemination of culture and local heritage through the development of business ethics initiatives, non-profit and self-sustainable.
