Change can only be achieved through a worldwide cultural paradigm shift. This entails changes in our lifestyle expectations,
the way we imagine and treat our world, and the way we communicate and act at the level of civil-society relations, across
political and cultural boundaries according to this emergency. In this situation, we need to establish international,
intercultural and intergenerational relations that will support global efforts for a more sustainable future. When we look at the
realities of Turkey in the field of recycling, we are in the last place among European countries. Did you know that only 15
percent of the waste reaching the recycling facilities in Turkey can be recycled? This rate is around 85 percent in wastes
coming from abroad. Why can't we get enough efficiency from the wastes in our country? The answer is simple, we don't
know about recycling. However, the solution is not difficult at all. It is enough to give up some habits and gain new ones. In
fact, if we start by accepting that plastic bottles are not "garbage", we gain the first habit. It is from this reality that we set out.
The project objectives are:
- Develop and disseminate a greater understanding, awareness and attitude towards environmental issues among young
people and partner organisations.
- encouraging young people to take action to transform our societies into a low-carbon and climate-resilient future.
- encouraging environmentally-oriented/green jobs in the future
- supporting green behaviors among young people
- assisting young people to take an active role in decision-making processes
- encouraging non-formal education/learning methods among young people
